Split Insight (3) - A Pokemon Story"Riley?"
I snapped out of my flashback to find Raj's head on my lap. I grimaced and pushed him off. He meowed in surprise and looked at me.
Raj grouchily moved back to his kitty bed.
"Could you get that for me?" My grandma pointed toward the kitchen door with her stirring spoon.
I guess that I had been so out of it that I hadn't heard the pounding on the front door.
I opened it and was immediately glad that my grandma hadn't been the one to answer the door. There on the doorstep, covered from neck to tail in strips of duct tape, was Eon. Patches of his long, reddish-brown fur poked up between the strips that didn't cover all of the area they were intended to cover. I looked down at the pitiable sight and bent down to scoop him up off of the step. He looked up at me so sadly that I almost wanted to feel very sorry for him. I pinched the corner of one strip of tape and pulled on it tentatively, but lightly. The Eevee shrieked in pain.
"Good heavens! What's going on?" Came gran
Split Insight (2) - A Pokemon Story"Riley? Is that you?" My grandma, Rosaline, peeked around the kitchen door and smiled warmly at me. I suppose that her eyes were so bad that she didn't notice the grime all over my clothing.
As I walked within range of my grandmother's nose, her eyes bugged out of her head.
"Heavens to Betsy, what is that smell? What in the world have you been doing?" She clapped a hand over her nose.
I looked down at my greasy ensemble and shrugged. "Dumpster diving."
Grandma gave me a strange look, but decided not to ask any more questions. "Please spare my poor nose and take a shower. And please take your clothes straight to the laundry room."
I didn't object. I took a long shower, taking care to scrub extra hard in attempts to eliminate the smell that would probably stay on me for weeks. Once I was done with my shower, I put on some fresh clothes and headed towards the kitchen.
My grandma had a wet cloth under one foot and was mopping up the last of the footprints that I had left in the entryway. H
Split Insight (1) - A Pokemon StorySPLIT INSIGHT
It was a dark and stormy night....
Well, no it actually wasn't. I've just always wanted to start a story that way. It was two-thirty in the afternoon and about ninety-eight degrees in my small hometown of Meldsville. It's kind of a lame place to live; Too many tourists and not nearly enough rain. The townsfolk are pretty cool if you've been a resident all your life. And if you're ever having a sand shortage, we've got enough to go around. Yep, Meldsville is right in the middle of an island. So nobody gets too excited when somebody yells, "Hey, everyone! Let's go to the beach!"
So that's enough about my island.
My sole purpose for writing this is because I want to chronicle the rough week I had to show people that my life isn't really that boring.
Anyways, where was I?
Oh yeah. It was two-thirty, really hot and at the moment my head was being stuffed into a full garbage can that I guess the trash guy had missed from the week before.
"Stuff him in all the way, Machamp!"
